OLD MUTUAL’S CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

DR PETER BOND

Dr Peter Bond graduated in 1978 at UCT; he then spent 2 years working in various hospitals abroad. He started in private practice in 1984 and worked as a contractor at Old Mutual as part of the development team for GREENLIGHT.

Dr Bond was appointed as Chief Medical Officer at Old Mutual on 1 of July 2002 with the responsibility for medical input into all risk benefits, including underwriting, claims and risk product development.

He is involved in the medical and underwriting projects underpinning the development of risk benefits in other parts of the world where Old Mutual does business.  He also represents industry medical and underwriting codes of conduct through membership of the MUSC (Medical and Underwriting Standing Committee) committee of ASISA. He is also chairman of this committee.
